Congratulations go to Vince Greaves-Newall, who reached his latest landmark of 200 wickets for Arthington in the 2nd XI’s crushing victory over Kirk Deighton 2nd XI on Saturday 4th September 2021.

It was certainly a day to remember for Vince as he reached his milestone when Deighton posted 196/9, Vince claiming 3/30 and passing the landmark in the process. But further celebrations came for Vince, who smashed an unbeaten century as the 2nd XI cruised to an emphatic 9-wicket win.

What a way to mark another major milestone!

Vince becomes just the 5th player in Arthington league history to register the feat of 200 wickets, and reaches the milestone in his 134th match.

Since arriving at the ACG in 2012, Vince has amassed 2,140 runs at an average of 30.57 with a highest score of 106. He has recorded 7 half-centuries and now has 3 centuries to his name.

The all-rounder has also helped himself to 201 wickets at an average of 16.86 and an economy rate of 3.6. he has six 5-wicket hauls and a best of 5/12 against Ben Rhydding.

Vince’s achievement means that he is now just the 3rd player in Arthington league history to take 200 wickets and score over 2,000 runs.
