CONGRATULATIONS LUKE!

Congratulations go to Luke Seaborne, who passed the landmark of 100 wickets for Arthington in the 1st XI’s thumping victory over Rainton on Saturday 15th August.

Luke has been constantly chipping away in the (nervous?!) nineties in wicket-terms, but with his first victim on Saturday, he reached his century.

The first-team opening bowler is the 15th player in Arthington history to reach 100 wickets, and he reached the feat in his 51st match for the club.

Since his arrival at The ACG in 2016, Luke has now amassed 101 scalps at a superb average of just 14.37 per wicket. He has taken one five-wicket haul and recorded a club-best return of 6-37 against Helperby 3rd XI. He has an economy rate of 3.50 runs per over.

A useful lower-order batsman, Luke has notched up 204 runs in 21 innings, with an average of 12.75 and a highest score of 43*. Saving his best for the current season, Luke is enjoying some form with the willow, scoring 60 runs at an average of 30 this year.

Luke is also the author of the splendid match reports we all enjoy on a weekly basis.

Congratulations Luke from all at Arthington Cricket Club.
