Congratulations go to Sajid Hussain, who passed the landmark of 1,000 runs for Arthington in the 1st XI’s crucial victory over Whixley on 7th September 2019.

Sajid passed the milestone during his invaluable innings of 56 whilst opening the batting and chasing down the total of 175 set by the league-leaders.

A valuable all-rounder, Sajid also starred with the ball, claiming an Arthington career-best 5-31 to dismiss their previously-unbeaten hosts.

Sajid is the 29th Arthington player to reach 1,000 runs, and did so in his 27th match for the club. He has accumulated a total of 1,012 runs at an impressive average of 42.17 which includes 9 fifties and one century, a best of 109.

Also extremely handy with the ball, Sajid has claimed 20 wickets at an average of 18.90 and an economy rate of 4.85 runs per over, with a best of 5-31.
